Bantry Bay is built almost entirely as cliffside apartment blocks, most with wrap-around glass balconies looking straight out over the Atlantic with nothing to break the wind before it arrives. That combination of full sea exposure and stacked, multi-storey balconies changes what we recommend compared with a low-rise suburb.

What a Bantry Bay apartment usually needs

• Wind-rated balcony screens — zip screens or awnings on an exposed high-rise balcony need a real wind rating and a sensor for automatic retraction; the wind here is stronger and more constant than most of the seaboard.
• Salt-air rated hardware — near-constant sea spray at height means powder-coated aluminium and sealed cassettes as the baseline, not an option.
• Body corporate coordination — many Bantry Bay buildings have shared exterior finishes; we confirm approved colours and fixings against your scheme before quoting anything visible from outside.
• Installation access planning — the narrow, winding coastal roads and building access here mean we plan logistics at the measure stage, not on installation day.
